This park is located less than a half hour outside of Tamworth, in the picturesque village of Bendemeer. The park has a full range of amenities and facilities that include a barbecue, access to fuel, a camp store, and laundry. There are communal showers and a refrigerator, as well as access to broadband. There's even an ATM for your cash withdrawal needs!
$10/night per person for unpowered sites; $15/night per person for powered sites; senior discounts are available as well.
Austin Tourist Park
Tamworth, New South Wales
The Austin Tourist Park is located near the Peel River and is only a few minutes away from the center of the Town. The caravan sites are strategically placed to provide as much quiet as possible, ensuring that quests can enjoy a level of tranquility sometimes difficult to find at similar parks. Austin provides a playground and pool, clean amenities and a laundry, and is right across the street from a fuel and convenience store, so you'll never run short on supplies! Camp kitchen, barbecue, and a place for washing vehicles are also available for all guests.

Free Camping / Low Cost Camping:
Cockburn River has some free camping spots neat Kootingal. You can stay there overnight and be within a half-hour's drive of Tamworth. If you'd like something a little more luxurious, there is always Ranjen Farm Stay where you can stay in a powered caravan site for just $15 per night - and bring your horses and dogs if you like. Even better than that low price, though, is the other payment option the farm's owners sometimes offer: they'll often waive the fees altogether if you're willing to pitch in and help with some of the farm chores!
