The BMPRO MiniBoost is a compact DC-DC charger /booster for RVs. It is specially designed to work with BMPRO’s BatteryPlus35 and J35 systems. The MiniBoost DC to DC charger provides a 2-stage charging profile. It delivers an efficient and controlled current until the auxiliary battery is charged. Miniboost functions when wired directly to most 12V Lead Acid batteries.
*Please Note: The MiniBoost is not a power supply and must be connected to a battery.

Can the MiniBoost Battery Charger be connected directly to the battery?
Yes, it can be connected directly to the battery. All loads are required to be fused though.

Is it necessary to install the relay as suggested in the product manual?
Yes. The vehicle battery will be drained and the secondary battery might be overcharged if the vehicle remains connected.

Is it possible to connect the MiniBoost Battery Charger to a solar panel?
No, unfortunately not. Please refer to the MiniBoostPro to be able to connect to a solar panel.

Can the MiniBoost be used without a J35 or BP35?
The MiniBoost can be connected directly to a battery or via the auxiliary input to battery management systems. It might also function with other charging system or with a Genius and ST series.

Is it possible to install the MiniBoost in the back of a 4WD, somewhere other than under the bonnet?
The MiniBoost is not waterproof and will not function above 50�C so it can only be placed where there is adequate ventilation and it is protected from dust and water.

Can the MiniBoost charge multiple batteries that have been installed in parallel?
Yes, it is capable of charging multiple batteries in parallel.

What is involved in the installation of the relay?
The relay needs to be installed in the car and the MiniBoost should be installed as close as possible to the main battery. This ensures optimal charging performance. It is recommended that the installation be performed by a qualified technician.

How is the MiniBoost wired to a 12V lead acid battery?
There are four connections on the MiniBoost:
- Connect orange to the positive battery terminal
- Connect white to the negative battery terminal
- On the battery to be charged:
- Connect red to the positive battery terminal
- Connect black to the negative battery terminal

How does the MiniBoost connect to the BatteryPlus35 and J35 systems?
The MiniBoost connects to the BatteryPlus35 or J35 via the auxiliary input and will provide a low current output. This output is provided until the connection of a valid battery is detected, otherwise if it does not detect a battery it will shut down.

How is the wiring of the MiniBoost protected?
The MiniBoost has reverse voltage, short-circuit and reverse connection protection for the purpose of protecting the wiring.
