After renovating our first caravan last year over a period of 8 months, we felt like the most time consuming challenge was teaching ourselves everything we needed to know. We wanted to set ourselves a huge challenge while we took a month break from travelling and thought that if everything went well, maybe we could get the caravan done in 30 days. We were actually very surprised that we managed to get it done pretty close to the deadline.
It wasn't really a surprise, but for some reason we always choose to do these rebuild challenges in the peak of Perth summer. Out of the 30 days, we probably had about 10 that were above 40 degrees, so that made everything a huge struggle for us.
Electrical System:
We love the design and how open and spacious everything feels inside but also the air conditioner! Being our second time installing the same system, we feel as though we did a better job. Along with this and the fact that Bert is a smaller caravan, the space cools down noticeably really fast.
Maybe not challenge ourselves to get it done in 30 days? It's great to know we have the capability now but there were a couple of times we needed to correct small mistakes that were made because we were trying to get things done fast.
