This tripod seems sturdy and practical. A few of the edges where the metal components had been cut during fabrication are a bit sharp but that is easily avoided. I like the strength of steel in these applications and the fact the legs spread out a good amount. It will certainly need pegs to secure it to the ground unless a very low height pole is used. I made an adaptor for using a smaller diameter pole than the 50mm allowed.
