This 525 mm large model has a new design with capacitive touch screen and flush door handle and cooling unit at the bottom. A convenient frozen food drawer situated at the bottom of the refrigerator offering you a homelike comfort.

What do I need to think about in regards of the ventilation with my Thetford compressor fridge?
All the Thetford Compressor fridges are surrounded by a frame that has a built-in vent at the top or bottom of the fridge. This vent is used to expel warm air that has passed over the cooling unit system. The cooling unit system is built into the rear of the fridge. Cool air is pulled through the bottom of the fridge and passed across the cooling unit. The warm air is expelled out of the top vent on these models: T1090, T1152, T1274, T2152. The warm air is expelled out of the bottom vent on the T2175.

What do I need to know about installing my 12v compressor fridge in my van?
Installation instructions will come with your 12V Compressor Fridge. The installation/manual document will also cover:

From Absorption To Compressor

Our motorhome's absorption fridge/freezer was no longer working properly so we checked out new compressor fridge/freezers on CaravanRVcamping's website. We needed a specific size to fit into the same space. The Thetford 174 litre 12v compressor fridge was perfect. When it arrived we were able to just slot it in! All we had to do was connect the 12 volt wiring that was already there and cap off the gas connection. No plumber needed. It works very well keeping our food and frozen goodies at the appropriate temperatures. There is plenty of shelf space, two great vegetable crispers, roomy freezer space to keep the ice cream frozen and it's amazing how much the door shelves hold too. I highly recommend this fridge/freezer for your RV!
Out with the old in with the new

It was time to get rid of the 3way fridge and its inability to keep things cold in humid weather. In comes the new Thetford 175 compressor fridge.. ah how good is this. Turn it on set the temperature .. boom everything is cold .Power consumption is quite good. Great size ,freezer on bottom, locking doors,simple to use. No mucking around with gas and control settings. Ice cold beer and food that's not going to spoil. 10 out of 10 so far.

A great fridge for a medium to large van, east to fit, especially if replacing an existing Thetford product. If fitting yourself Thetford customer service are very helpful, the instal guide is a bit vague in places.
