Complete your camping solar set-up with a solar charge controller. A solar charge controller (or solar regulator) helps you regulate the power from your solar panel to your battery. We sell controllers from trusted brands including Enerdrive, Victron, Morningstar, and Projecta.

Why Buy A Solar Charge Controller?

A solar charge controller, or solar regulator, is a must-have if you have a solar power system with batteries. The solar charge controller is connected to regulate the power from your solar panels to your batteries. Why is this important? It means your panels don’t overcharge your batteries. Because overcharging batteries can significantly reduce battery life and damage the batteries beyond repair. The solar regulator will also detect when no energy is coming from the solar panels (e.g. at night) and disconnect the panels from the batteries to prevent reverse current flow. Think of a controller as maintenance free protection of your batteries and solar panels.

Types of Solar Charge Controllers

We sell both types of solar charge controllers: MPPT and PWM. The PWM solar regulator is a good low-cost option for smaller systems, while the MPPT controller is best for larger, higher power systems.

Find high quality solar charge controllers and solar regulators in our range of top brands including Enerdrive, Victron, Morningstar, and Projecta.
